Latisse FAQ
Will Latisse® harm me if I get it in my eyes?
No. Latisse® is formulated as an ophthalmic drug product.
Are there any side effects?
Side effects are always possible with any medication. Latisse® may have these side effects:
| blurred vision | temporary burning sensation | eyelid redness |
| eye discomfort | permanently darkened eyelashes | thicker eyelashes |
| permanent brown iris | decreased intraocular pressure |
It’s possible that brown pigmentation may color your iris although this hasn’t happened in clinical studies. If this condition develops, the pigmentation may be permanent.
Latisse® may also cause growth of hair in any part of the body that it is used on. It also may increase the growth and /or direction of eyelashes between the eyes. This resolves once you stop using the prescription.
Precautions
• Don’t apply Latisse® while wearing contact lenses. Wait for 15 minutes after use to place contacts in your eyes.
• Don’t use other eye drops simultaneously while you apply Latisse®. Wait for at least 5 minutes before or after use.
• If you experience any eye trauma, infection or sudden decrease in vision, see your physician.
